Seasons
Spring almost obscured by the geomantic energetics exuding from the
terrain in our favorite photo scanned from 35mm slide transparency featuring the arborist's ever-present orange ladder, a heartfelt part of the family. Another Spring offering shows the pfoofy nest of rhododendrons completely encircling the main manor with blooms-a-plenty each year needing little to no care save watering with the new sprinkler system, but lots of praise in love and admiration. Summer, fall and a rare snow for this area these days, 'snuggled in,' winter Thanksgiving Day 2004, as the seasons make their rounds in a proud parade of ever-living grandeur. All stonework on the main manor and flagstone pathways was done by the professional arborist and mad landscaper himself, stone by stone, over a period of several years. Don't let the apparent grounds maintenance deter your interest. With Spring flowers blooming over the entire yard until the second week of June, mowing starts late in the year and only necessary every other week due to the shady arena and only takes the arborist about an hour on his cyclone rider mower with a few extra trips in the fall for leaves which are scattered in the north forest mysteriously disappearing each year in nix of burning. If you don't find this activity as therapeutic as he does, there are many reputable lawn maintenance people recommended highly by our Gold Coast neighbors. And as mentioned elsewhee, we literally have no mosquitos, with literally none at all so far this year as of today, 7-2-05 without even the thought of deadly toxic sprays. It can be done... and is! Glow worms will sparkle the entire south lawn and lagoon banks through frost if left undisturbed, and not lost forever to deadly toxic sprays. Summer 2005 has been the most consistently beautiful, sunny, comfortable summer weather we've had in the past few years inviting this continued trend lending itself to the enjoyment of nocturnal viewing of meteor showers and other astrophysical phenomenae, fireflies, and glow worms sparkling the grounds through frost.
